Program info: Ilan strives to enable people with physical disabilities to live meaningful, quality lives. They have various facilities throughout Israel, including sports centers where they create accessible ways for people with disabilities to do sports activities. Athletes will get to tour a facility and explore some of their sports activities in small groups.

Program info: Beit Ha’lochem is an organization that cares for Israeli veterans wounded in the line of duty who are now disabled. Through a variety of programs and supports, including rehabilitation and sports, they work to integrate people who acquire disabilities back into their communities. Athletes will get to tour the facilities and experience some of the accessible sports activities they have in their centers.

Program info: Athletes will have the opportunity to witness the incredible impact of this center, which uses sport as a form of rehabilitation and has a Paralympic sports division is one of the most successful in the world. Athletes will be introduced to Paralympic basketball athletes and watch a tournament between two wheelchair basketball teams. A few athletes will even have the opportunity to try out the equipment and experience wheelchair basketball firsthand!

Program info: Eitan is an organization that creates leadership and professional development opportunities for young adults with disabilities through the lens of health, sports, and wellness. They train people with various disabilities to fitness trainers and run health and wellness sessions. Athletes will have the opportunity to learn from some of the participants and experience a session led by the program’s trainers.

Program info: HaGal Sheli uses surfing as a way to teach leadership skills a life lessons to at risk youth. Participants become trainers through the program. Athletes will meet with participants in the program and get to hear their stories and then will have the opportunity to experience a surfing lesson run by the participants.

Program info: Zikaron BaSalon is an initiative that preserves and shares the memory of the Shoah — Holocaust through intimate gatherings with survivors or their descendants to tell their story. A survivor will share their story with our athletes, giving them the opportunity and responsibility to share the story and carry on the act of remembrance.

Program info: The Leo Baeck School offers inclusive opportunities for students with intellectual and developmental disabilities as well as physical disabilities. During their summer camp, they have many children with disabilities participating. Our athletes will have the opportunity to learn about their programming and play sports together with their campers.
